San Fruttuoso
San Fruttuoso is a tiny beautiful seaside village with a few houses located next to the ancient Abbey of San Fruttuososet back from the beach.
It is wedged in betweensteep slopes covered by dense vegetation.
The abbey contains tombs of members of the noble Genoan Doria family and in the sea off San Fruttuoso there is the underwater statue Christ of the Abyss which was installed in 1954 at a depth of 17 meters for theprotection ofdivers and fishermen.
